Deviants

:bulletred: Some members still seem confused on where to submit their  art.

1) the "MISC" folder is NOT for mixed media, or other types of art. It's for tutorials, stamps, buttons, diagrams, Devious Fun, and other miscellaneous deviations related to traditional art

2) The "Mixed Media" Folder is for art that is composes substantially of different mediums
Good Example: A deviation colored partially with markers and watercolors
Bad example: A deviation inked with marker, and colored with colored pencils

3) The "Charcoal/Graphite" folder is for art done solely with those mediums. If the deviation in largely colored by a different medium, it should be placed elsewhere

Please remember to submit your art to the correct folder. It's a major factor for admin when allowing your art in the gallery.

:bulletgreen:GROUP INFORMATION:bulletgreen:

Art-Sticks is a non-elitist Traditional Art group made up of deviants who create art with "art sticks", brushes, pencils, pens, etc. Sculpture crafts, and most other types of physical traditional art are promoted and accepted here.

:bulletred:Membership

Membership is offered to all active deviants and can be requested by simply pressing the "join" button. Art-sticks is also a club they welcomes artists of all different skill levels. While most other traditional art club are rather "selective" in their choice of membership and submissions, this a group that accepts all deviants that put forth effort in their deviations.

:bulletred:Submissions
All Submission should be completed deviations that show a sense of effort and vision from the artist. Slight digital modifications and solid digitally colored background are accepted; but traditional art show be the focus. Deviations should also be on clear white paper, deviations on lined paper will often be declined. Excessive gore and sexual themes overwhelming the artistic merit are discouraged.

:bulletyellow: Submissions should be submitted to their appropriate medium gallery.
:bulletyellow: As of right now, Submissions for members have a 1 deviation a day
:bulletyellow: Submissions may be declined based on: incompleteness, low-quality of image( poor lighting rendering artwork hard to see, created on lined paper, etc), Excessive gore or sexual themes.
When in doubt it's ok, to submit it anyway; most declines will be accompanied by a statement detailing the reason.
:bulletyellow: All Submissions go through a voting process by our three group admins. 3 votes are needed to approve or decline a submission.

Hi!
can somebody help me?
I was drawing a picture (using graphite) and when I used my eraser, it had some graphite on it, and smudged onto my paper, and now I can't get it off! has this ever happened to anyone? and do you know any ways to get it off without ruining the paper?

This can happen to quite many people. I don't think that you can get it off, if your hand has rested on the paper while drawing. The oil of your hand can make the smudge of graphite permanent in the end. You might want to avoid touching the paper with heel of your hand.

In future, check your eraser first before using it on the drawing. Also try using another piece of paper to avoid contact with the artwork.
